Children work full days in the summer heat picking tomatoes and other crops.

Thousands of children, many of them under 16, are working on farms across the country so Americans can eat cheaply. 

According to NBC’s Bay Area Investigative Unit, children from California to North Carolina are putting in full days as migrant workers picking, trimming, and cultivating crops on large farms.
